As most of you know, last Friday, January 29, 2010, I officially retired from Western Industrial where I have worked for 8 years. I don't think that has sunk in yet but perhaps when I don't have to get up early every day next week reality will start to set in.
I am starting a new chapter in my life by visiting my son and his wife in Newcastle, Australia. Newcastle's population is 265,000 and is the world's largest coal exporter, shipping out over one and a half million tons each week. Newcastle is the second-largest city in New South Wales. It offers high-adrenaline surfing, a spectacular view of the Pacific and easy access to the nearby Hunter Valley wineries and wetland reserves. Hmmmmm.....I might have to start drinking wine!
I have about 18 more days until I leave. I will fly into LA and then take a direct flight into Sydney, Australia. How am I going to get 3 months of clothing into one suitcase?????
