COLORING EASTER EGGS

HAPPY EASTER TO ONE AND ALL!

We celebrated Good Friday by going over to Juliet's brother/sister-in-law's home for dinner and to color Easter eggs with the children. We had a wonderful spread of food and Betty made some awesome desserts.

After dinner, we were ready to color eggs. I hard boiled 4 dozen eggs (plus one brown egg) so we had plenty of eggs to go around. Scott showed everyone the process of dipping the egg into a color and it did not take long before everyone was entirely engrossed in coloring the eggs. My hands are still streaked with turquoise dye! The adults had as much fun creating eggs-ceptional eggs as the children.

We experimented with coloring the brown egg to see what results we would get. The darker colors seemed to take okay but of course the yellow made the egg an ugly mustard color. Much better to use white eggs even though they were hard to find over here and very, very expensive.
