EASTER MORNING AND EVENING FUN

Who is really doing the cooking here? Dan or Scott?

Easter morning we met Juliet's family at the Speers Point Park which is located on lake Macquarie. Juliet's brother, Dan, cooked bacon and eggs on the grill and we had homemade scones with jam and cream. Delicious!

While the boys played soccer, I took a quick walk down to the lake. The park was busy with family gatherings having picnics, riding bikes and enjoying the beautiful morning.

In the evening, Callum came over for a sleepover (a birthday treat) and we roasted American hot dogs over the fire pit. I had brought over to Australia a box of graham crackers so we could make s'mores (you can't find graham crackers here). We purchased Hershey candy bars at a specialty lolly shop ($3.00 a bar) and we were able to buy marshmallows at the local supermarket although they are not as big as ours.

We all enjoyed sitting outside by the heat of the fire and listening to the fire crackle. Callum and Scott had a good time throwing wood on the fire and keeping it blazing!
